. Key tasking will include:
Accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure a high‐level of integration and consistency across Defence procurement and contracting.
Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
Manage, lead and be accountable for providing advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
Manage, lead and provide high level advice, assistance and services during the procurement lifecycle on contracting activities including coordination of legal and financial services.
Generate and review strategic and very complex contracting correspondence including providing high level advice in relation to commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals and other documents as required.
Contribute own expertise to guide and mentor others on the more very complex aspects of legal and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence.
Negotiate agreed performance of individual and team with supervisor and contribute own expertise to others on the more very complex aspects of procurement and contracting.
Build and sustain productive working relationships with stakeholders to influence decisions and ensure alignment with broader Defence objectives.
Evaluate and design mitigation strategies for the risks associated with very complex procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
Design and implement innovative solutions, consulting as appropriate on very complex and strategic procurement contracting issues.
ASDEFCON experience required
Defence procurement and contract management experience required
Knowledge of the contracting and procurement framework
