Essential criteria

1. 5 years experience in managing ICT projects to deliver to time, cost, quality, and scope

2. Ability to foster team culture and lead small teams, including providing clear direction, effectively oversighting tasks and coaching to build high performance

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence, effectively interpret and synthesise technical information, and interact with people with diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority

4. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and manage expectations across varied stakeholder groups

5. Ability to conduct critical analysis and use available information and professional judgement to solve complex problems and implement pragmatic solutions

6. Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, including the ability to adapt and respond to change and manage changing team and stakeholder needs Ability to work with limited direction and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the AECs strategic direction.

Desirable criteria

1. Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Management, Project Management, or a similar field

2. Demonstrated work experience managing/delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs/projects in an Australian Government setting
