Essential Experience

Configuration and management of Cisco enterprise hardware

Configuration and management of Palo Alto NGFW

Strong understanding of networking best practices within a SDDC

Working with Network Management Systems and the SNMPv3 protocol

Working with SYSLOG and forwarding of operational and audit logs

Ability to troubleshooting complex network related issues

Understanding of Cisco ACI

Understanding of Cisco ISE

Understanding of VMware NSX-t

Desirable Experience

Automating network device configuration

Automating network device backup and restore

A working knowledge of 3rd party automation tools including Terraform and Ansible

Working with VMWare products

Working in a DevSecOps model to develop and promote code or configuration, with a strong

emphasis on CI/CD methodologies

Understanding of Essential 8 and conforming with ISM requirements

Packet capture techniques across a variety of network devices and vendors.
