We're looking for a highly skilled Video Editor to create impactful YouTube videos while also being capable of transitioning to short-form content when needed.
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with expertise in editing long-form YouTube content and the ability to adapt to short-form projects for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts when needed. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in storytelling, understands audience retention strategies, and has a minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing. A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality YouTube videos is essential, and familiarity with short-form trends is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Create High-Quality YouTube Content: Edit long-form videos for YouTube, ensuring high production value and engaging storytelling that aligns with client goals.
- Optimize for Retention: Use editing techniques to maximize audience retention and engagement on YouTube.
- Adapt to Short-Form Needs: When required, create short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Stay on Top of Trends: Keep up with YouTube best practices, editing techniques, and platform updates, as well as trends in short-form content.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Account Managers and Social Media Managers to ensure content aligns with client objectives and brand standards.
- Multitask Effectively: Manage multiple editing projects across YouTube and short-form platforms while meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Portfolio Focused on YouTube: A portfolio showcasing long-form YouTube videos is required. Examples of content such as vlogs, tutorials, interviews, or branded videos are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of video editing experience, with proven expertise in creating and optimizing YouTube videos.
- Editing Tools: Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with CapCut or similar tools for short-form editing is a bonus.
- Understanding of YouTube: Deep familiarity with YouTube's algorithm, audience retention strategies, and best practices for thumbnail creation and optimization.
- Creativity and Adaptability: Strong storytelling skills with the ability to adapt to different formats and styles.
- English Proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in English (minimum B1 level).
- Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in team environments and with multiple clients simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Active in team chats and responsive to collaborative workflows.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Short-Form Content: Experience editing for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- Computer Requirements: A computer with at least 1TB of storage is a plus.
