About the Company
Our client is a leading joinery manufacturer specializing in bespoke luxury interiors for high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects across the UAE. Renowned for delivering exceptional craftsmanship, they design and manufacture premium custom joinery, furniture, and interior solutions that bring unique architectural concepts to life. They are currently looking for an experienced Estimator – Joinery to join their growing team and play a key role in preparing accurate, commercially competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out projects.
Role Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for bespoke joinery and custom furniture projects. Working closely with the Design, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams, the successful candidate will ensure all estimates are technically accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with the company's quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of joinery manufacturing, materials, production processes, and UAE market pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for bespoke joinery, millwork, and custom furniture projects.
- Review architectural drawings, AutoCAD shop drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and costing requirements.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for joinery packages including wardrobes, kitchens, wall paneling, doors, cabinetry, vanity units, loose furniture, and bespoke interior elements.
- Source and evaluate material, hardware, subcontractor, and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and commercially viable quotations.
- Develop comprehensive tender submissions within project deadlines.
- Liaise closely with the Design, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams to validate manufacturing methods, installation requirements, and project feasibility.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering while maintaining design intent, functionality, and quality standards.
- Maintain an updated database of material costs, labour rates, subcontractor pricing, and supplier quotations.
- Support project handovers by providing detailed costing breakdowns and technical clarifications where required.
- Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, and industry developments to improve estimating accuracy and competitiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of estimating experience within a joinery manufacturing company (essential).
- Proven experience pricing bespoke joinery and custom furniture projects.

Strong knowledge of joinery products including:
- Wardrobes
- Kitchens
- Doors
- Wall paneling
- Cabinetry
- Vanity units
- Loose furniture
- Bespoke millwork

Excellent understanding of joinery materials including:
- MDF
- Plywood
- Veneers
- Laminates
- Solid timber
- Corian
- HPL
- Premium hardware such as Blum, Häfele, Hettich, or similar.
- Ability to accurately interpret AutoCAD shop drawings, technical joinery drawings, and architectural plans.
- Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, production methods, machinery, and installation requirements.
- Good understanding of UAE joinery market pricing, labour costs, subcontractors, and supplier networks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
- Experience using estimating software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
