Role Overview

Our client is a leading design, manufacturing, and production company specializing in delivering high-quality solutions for luxury retail brands, commercial clients, and government entities.

Their expertise includes:

  • Exhibition stands and country pavilions
  • Retail displays and custom retail fixtures
  • Window displays and visual merchandising
  • Signage and branded environments
  • Pop-up stores and brand activations
  • Custom fabrication using wood, metal, glass, and other premium materials

With strong in-house design, manufacturing, and installation capabilities, they deliver end-to-end fabrication and build solutions for exhibitions, retail environments, activations, and experiential spaces.

They are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth within the exhibitions, activations, and branded environments sector.

This role is focused on identifying and securing projects that align with the company's design, fabrication, and production capabilities. The successful candidate will leverage their industry network to generate opportunities with government entities, exhibition organizers, luxury brands, marketing agencies, developers, and corporate clients.


What You Will Be Selling

The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing in projects including:

  • Exhibition stands and custom booth builds
  • Government and international pavilions
  • Brand activation builds
  • Pop-up retail environments
  • Window displays and visual merchandising installations
  • Retail display solutions and custom fixtures
  • Signage and branded environments
  • Experiential marketing builds
  • Custom fabrication and production projects


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across exhibitions, activations, retail, and government sectors.
  • Develop relationships with exhibition organizers, government entities, marketing agencies, luxury brands, retailers, and corporate clients.
  • Generate new revenue through exhibition stand, activation, fabrication, and branded environment projects.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and client meetings through proposal submission, negotiation, and project award.
  • Work closely with the design, production, and project delivery teams to ensure client requirements are translated into commercially successful solutions.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while consistently achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events, and industry functions to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Business Development experience within one or more of the following industries:

Exhibition stand design & build

Exhibition contracting

Event fabrication

Experiential marketing

Retail displays

Visual merchandising

Signage

Interior fit-out or custom fabrication

  • Proven track record of winning new business and generating revenue.
  • Existing network within exhibition organizers, government entities, marketing agencies, luxury brands, retailers, or corporate clients.
  • Experience selling project-based solutions rather than standard products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term client partnerships.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working independently.


Preferred Experience

  • Candidates with experience securing projects for exhibitions such as GITEX, Gulfood, ADIPEC, Arab Health, Big 5, ATM, or other major regional trade shows will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with government pavilions, exhibition organizers, or luxury retail brands is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not essential.
