Business Analyst (Smart City Technologies)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst, specializing in smart city technologies including IoT (Internet of Things), Video Analytics, and other emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing business needs, drafting technical proposals, and supporting the development of innovative smart city solutions. 

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of smart city initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for smart city technologies such as IoT, video surveillance, and data analytics. 
• Develop and write detailed technical proposals and project documentation, showcasing the potential of smart city solutions to meet client needs. 
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility, clarity, and alignment of proposed solutions with client expectations. 
• Conduct market research on emerging trends in smart city technologies, and apply insights to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness. 
• Support project managers in the planning and execution of smart city projects, ensuring technical requirements are met throughout the lifecycle. 
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, project timelines, and resource allocation for smart city technology solutions. 
• Act as a liaison between clients and development teams to communicate technical details and business requirements effectively. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
• Minimum 4 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 year of experience in smart city technologies such as IoT, Video Analytics, or similar. 
• Proven experience in writing technical proposals, user stories, and functional specifications for technology-driven projects. 
• Familiarity with smart city concepts, solutions, and platforms. 
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including technical experts, product managers, and external stakeholders. 
• Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to support project delivery.
