Data Scientist

Position Overview:

We are a solution-developing company seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic Research and Development (R&D) team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative data-driven solutions, developing models, and delivering minimum viable products (MVPs) that meet complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for research and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Exploration:
• Quickly explore and understand complex problems to propose effective data-driven solutions.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to derive actionable insights.
• Apply statistical methods to interpret data and validate hypotheses.
• Model Development:
• Design, develop, and implement predictive and descriptive models.
• Deliver functional MVPs that demonstrate the viability of proposed solutions.
• Continuously evaluate and refine models to improve performance and accuracy.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Present findings, methodologies, and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into existing systems.
• Research and Innovation:
• Conduct ongoing research to stay updated with the latest methodologies, tools, and technologies in data science.
• Explore innovative approaches to solving business challenges through data-driven methods.
• Contribute to the development of new frameworks, tools, or techniques to improve R&D capabilities.

Essential Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and concepts.
• ML model alignment experience; AI integrations, training and evaluation of LLM models.
• Experience in creating end-to-end data science workflows, from data collection to model deployment.
• Educational Background:
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is an asset.
• Equivalent practical experience in a similar role will also be considered.
• Communication and Problem-Solving:
• Strong ability to engage with stakeholders, understand business requirements, and propose suitable solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt to new challenges.
• Languages:
• Fluency in English and Azerbaijani is required.
• Knowledge of Russian is an asset.
• Mindset:
• Passion for research, learning, and continuous self-improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
