QA Lead

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA Lead to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our product solutions. In this role, you will guide a team of 5-7 QA engineers, mentor junior testers into mid-level and senior roles, and drive continuous improvements in testing processesall while evolving and following our existing test strategy.

A typical week for a QA Lead at our company:

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of our existing test strategy to ensure consistent test coverage, stable team velocity, and transparent QA processes.

• Mentor and coach junior testers, fostering their growth through training, pair testing, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Collaborate with developers and QA automation engineers to maintain a balanced test pyramid, ensuring effective test coverage based on ROI and risk.

• Track key metrics such as test coverage, throughput, and defect trends. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve systemic issues, optimizing the delivery process. Work closely with Business and Tech Leads when issues fall outside the scope of QA.

• Communicate effectively by documenting work in TestRail and Jira, providing timely feedback on bugs, and ensuring alignment on QA goals across the team.

• As a player-coach, demonstrate best practices by working directly alongside testers, reinforcing learning and mentoring, without fully assuming the standard QA role.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years in QA, with at least 1+ years in a lead or management role.

• Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior and mid-level testers into skilled professionals.

• Expertise in process optimization: identifying bottlenecks, driving continuous improvements, and saving QA efforts.

• Strong understanding of test automation management: defining scope, setting priorities, and determining ROI and effectiveness for automated tests.

• A collaborative mindset, with experience working closely with dev teams, QA automation engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth product delivery.

• Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., Postman), SQL, Test Management (TestRail), Task Management (Jira), and CI/CD systems to integrate quality gates.

• Active involvement in Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

• Excellent facilitation skills (leading discussions, conflict resolution, etc.) are a plus.

• Bonus: Exposure to AI-driven test approaches or ISTQB certification.
