About the job Managing Director Commerce
Our client is one of the worlds most renowned, dynamic, and innovative esports and gaming startups that focuses on building and scaling communities, content, and intellectual properties across the gaming ecosystem. The company aims to create and nurture diverse gaming and esports ecosystems by collaborating with content creators, professional esports teams, and gaming influencers. With a keen emphasis on community engagement and entertainment, the company leverages its extensive network to deliver unique and immersive experiences for gaming enthusiasts. Established in Singapore in 2019, it quickly expanded its markets into Southeast Asia including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Currently, they are looking for a Managing Director (Commerce division) to support their organization in the following capacity.
The Managing Director for the Platform & Commerce division will lead the commerce platform, integrating digital and physical products into broader strategy. This includes proprietary intellectual properties products and those from content creators. This role will also involve establishing and scaling game credits marketplace, aiming for significant growth. Strategic leadership will be required to align the platform and tech vision with business goals, requiring innovative data, data-driven decision making and flexibility. The overall duties and responsibilities of this sought-after position are outlined as follows:
- Lead financial performance and growth, focusing on sustainable growth and profitability.
- Create and execute long-term growth strategies.
- Oversee profit and loss management for the commerce and digital products business unit by forecasting and setting financial targets and KPI.
- Establish KPIs aligned with company and business goals.
- Oversee various commerce and digital product initiatives, including Creator Commerce Marketplace, Owned and Operated Streetwear Brand, Game Credit Distribution Products, and OEM Merchandise.
- Track operational performance against objectives and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Analyze marketplace/ platform data and measure e-commerce performance against goals like sales, conversions, and ROI.
- Provide regular performance reports with insights and recommendations.
- Plan and forecast performance, ensuring revenue goals and budgets are met.
- Prepare reports and presentations on activities, outcomes, and plans.
- Align with HQ guidelines to improve website UX, conversion rates, and organic search visibility.
Qualifications:
- Thia Nationals
- Qualified to a degree level in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- At least 8+ years of working experience in a Strategic Management role in e-commerce strategy, digital marketing, and digital analytics.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Thai.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to translate analysis to concrete actions and recommendations.
- High attention to detail with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge in e-commerce and digital marketing market.
- Strong in budget planning and management and forecasting.
- Highly familiar with web analytic tools and Tech Savvy.
- Able to conduct relevant channel analysis and auditing configurations.
- Extensive experience in managing multiple priorities and overseeing marketing agencies to achieve shared marketing objectives.
