Our client is a well-known European Medical company that specializes in diagnostic solutions and has been established for over 50 years with operations spanned across 5 continents, with a reputation for being at the forefront innovative healthcare solutions. In Thailand, they operate an office, serving as a regional hub of operations for Indochina. Due to the significant growth, our client is looking for a Legal & Compliance professional to support their Southeast Asia region Legal sector in the following capacity.


The Legal & Compliance Specialist will be providing legal and compliance support for the Companys ASEAN operations, as well as promoting ethical culture in the Company. The overall job responsibilities of this sought-after position are outlined as follows:

Implementing and managing Companys Ethics & Compliance program in ASEAN operations (Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, etc.)

Identifying and advising on alleviation of anti-corruption / anti-bribery, Healthcare Professional (HCP) interactions and 3rd party management risks throughout Company ASEANs operations

Embedding a compliance culture into ASEAN North region, including raising and reinforcing employee awareness of risks of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct, and performance requirements related to Ethics & Compliance

Overseeing and operating required approval and notification procedures under the Ethics & Compliance program

Responsible for delivery, tracking and reporting on employee training programs related to Ethics & Compliance.

Monitoring relevant new legal and regulatory developments

Working effectively with other functional teams (Finance/HR/Medical/etc.) to identify current and prospective Ethics & Compliance risks and help enhance procedures to enable Company to effectively manage these risks

Helping with the management of external law firm to monitor the respective tasks each law firm is working on and provide instruction under ASEAN legal counsels guidance

Working with ASEAN legal counsel to provide legal support to daily operation matters

Working on HCP related review process and legal contracts

Qualifications

  • Must have a law degree, preferably from a well-recognized university
  • At least 3 years of Legal & Compliance work experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, device, IVD or healthcare industries with relevant exposure to compliance and legal function
  • Experience in law firm and/or auditing firm is a plus
  • Possess unquestioned reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character
  • High emotional intelligence and engagement skills, and strong influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Maturity and decisiveness with ability to frame issues to support quick decision-making
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to work, and odel resilience and flexibility
  • Demonstrate innate business intellect coupled with lateral thinking & problem solving skills, and bias to working in a team-oriented fashion, supporting others success
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Thai
