This is a full-time position for a Network Security Engineer/Consultant. The candidate would ideally be based in either Jersey or Guernsey, but we would be open to discussion on remote/hybrid working for the right person. The Network Security Engineer/Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that our clients networks are secure from unauthorized access or malicious attacks. This entails designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting network security systems, policies, and initiatives. The Network Security Engineer/Consultant will also work closely with clients to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements. There will be occasional travel requirements to meet client demands and projects, mainly Channel Islands

Qualifications

• Must have in-depth knowledge of designing, deploying and managing Fortinet FortGate firewalls, SDWAN and Secure Branch/Networking solutions.
• Must have working experience with FortManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• ​Ideally 5+ years of experience in the network security field or proven track record of delivering sucessful projects.
• Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, web application firewalls, NAC and VPNs
• Should have experience with Cisco LAN switching and routing technologies, IOS, IOS, XE, XR, NX-OS.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing/switching
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning, and security assessments.
• Experience with cloud security, SASE, Azure vWAN and vFGs would be benificial.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and debug complex network security issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Industry certifications such as NSE4/7/8, CCNA, CCNP, Comptia N+/S+
