Construction Manager
Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team and lead our talented Electrical Construction Team. As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing and guiding a team of skilled engineers and site supervisors in the successful delivery of electrical construction projects. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Team: Provide leadership and direction to a team of electrical construction engineers and site supervisors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Project Oversight & Governance: Oversee all phases of projects, from planning through to execution and completion, including regular project reporting updates to senior management.
- Customer Experience: Prioritise customer satisfaction by ensuring projects meet expectations and resolving any issues promptly and effectively.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Efficiency & Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including internal manpower and appointed contractors equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives. Ongoing review of end-to-end process and identification & implementation of efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets company standards and industry regulations, conducting regular quality checks and inspections.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety within the team, ensuring all projects adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, resolving any engineering challenges that arise.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are understood and met.
Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills, including budget and resource management,
- Effective leadership, coaching and management skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities,
- Good IT skills- competent use of Microsoft/Office 365
- Strong customer focus,
- Demonstrable and significant time served experience in electrical construction processes and standards,
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Prince 2 or similar qualification would be desirable
- Driving license
