Job Description

  • As part of the IT Infrastructure Team, contribute to the organisations network and security strategy, ensuring it aligns with wider organisational priorities and is appropriately reflected in the business and IT strategies
  • Delivery of IT Support Services according to relevant and published processes, including delivery to SLA and KPI targets across the team
  • Technical operation of Group IT infrastructure, to include but not limited to the following technologies:
  • Local and Wide Area Network and Global Connectivity Services
  • Cisco Enterprise network management
  • Wireless service management (Cisco/Aruba)
  • Network Access Control (NAC)
  • Palo Alto Firewall management
  • Zscaler web gateway management
  • SD-WAN network services
  • Microsoft Security Systems such as Defender for Endpoint
  • Solarwinds Monitoring systems
  • Voice/Telephony services
  • Hardware Lifecycle management
  • Assist with the management of IT Infrastructure lifecycles, budget planning and business case preparation.
  • Monitors the performance of network and security resources, using customer feedback and monitoring and observability tools, to ensure that the most efficient service is provided into the organisation
  • Strong analytical skills, working to pinpoint the root cause of support incidents and to deliver timely resolution of incidents
  • Follow the prevailing IT processes and procedures (e.g. Incident, Problem and Change Management) ensuring technical documentation records are maintained and updated
  • Foster a culture of customer focused IT service delivery
  • Ability to demonstrate high level technical skills, acting as the SME for technical infrastructure areas
  • Ability to work in a fast moving technical environment, requiring 24x7 support

Qualifications

  • IT professional qualification (s) in line with the Groups technical infrastructure stack e.g: CCNP/A, PCNSE/A, Security/Network+
  • A minimum of 5 years proven skills and experience in technologies within the scope of this role
  • Proven experience in the creative, efficient and effective use of IT resources, maximising benefit from existing investment in hardware and software
  • Experience of managing a multi-jurisdictional network and security systems, plus Microsoft corporate environment, utilising both on-prem and cloud services
  • Experience of technical project management - for example, leading small/medium technical projects
  • Third-party management and task allocation
  • Information security knowledge and experience of new and emerging technologies and legislation that affects or potentially effects the security of Ogier's internal and external client data
  • Technical project supplier management assist with the creation of scope of works and-ensuring delivery against statement of works and agreed costs
  • 3rd line support and problem management.
