Senior Executive Quality Assurance (Microbiology Laboratory)

Location: Kurunegala

Responsibilities

• Monitor routine analyses, ensure timely result entry/reporting, and maintain instrument/method controls.
• Arrange resources to ensure microbiology lab operations meet quality standards and turnaround targets.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, manage deviations, and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
• Validate/verify and establish microbiological methods as per company guidelines.
• Coordinate pathogen monitoring with hygiene/factory teams and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Ensure SHE compliance in the lab and coach analysts to build competency and performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Microbiology/Food Science/Biotechnology/Life Sciences (or related).
• More than 5 years of experience in microbiology lab operations within a QA/QC environment (FMCG/food/pharma or similar).
• Strong knowledge of routine microbiological testing, pathogen monitoring, and hygiene verification.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with deviations/investigations and CAPA.
• Ability to lead/coach a team with training and competency assessment exposure.
• Strong documentation discipline, communication skills, and safety (SHE) mindset.
