Responsibilities

  • Assist with candidate screening, interview scheduling, and working with department heads to fill job vacancies
  • Ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the company and provided with necessary resources
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and support a positive workplace culture
  • Assist with performance reviews, track employee progress, and organize feedback meetings
  • Ensure the company follows labor laws and assist in updating HR policies when needed
  • Identify training needs and help organize programs to improve employee skills
  • Support payroll processes, manage employee benefits, and handle leave administration
  • Maintain reports on employee turnover, retention, and other HR activities to provide insights
  • Help organize events, recognition programs, and activities that boost employee morale
  • Ensure workplace safety by conducting regular checks and promoting health and safety awareness

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional HR certifications (CIPM) are an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in both English and Sinhala
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to handle employee issues with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Being a strong team player with leadership potential allows effective collaboration and guidance
  • The ability to keep information confidential ensures privacy and trust are maintained
