About the job Assistant Manager - Air Freight
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all air import duties are performed in adherence to customer-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), maintaining high standards of service and efficiency
- Conduct pricing activities for both air imports and exports, ensuring competitive and accurate rate setting to meet business objectives and customer expectations
- Manage and maintain effective communication with agents for both export and import activities, ensuring smooth coordination and timely resolution of issues
- Proactively identify, involve, and resolve operational issues related to both imports and exports, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining seamless operations
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in air exports and imports operations
- Completion of GCE A/L is required, with a Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, indicating a solid educational background in logistics
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain management
- Proficiency in using the Gensoft system or similar logistics software, demonstrating the ability to manage air import and export operations efficiently
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific software and tools to support daily operations and ensure compliance with regulations
- Excellent fluency in both written and spoken English, ensuring clear and effective communication with internal teams, external agents, and clients
