Costing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely cost calculations and provide quotations to the sales team.
• Develop and finalize divisional budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze and track the performance of the sales force, providing necessary periodic reports to management.
• Manage invoicing, conduct cost analysis, and maintain an updated price list for all products.
• Monitor and follow up on debtors to ensure proper cash flow and timely payments.
• Handle and oversee petty cash flow within the department.
• Manage local purchases and maintain stock reports for better inventory control.
• Conduct supplier and customer registration in the system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance profitability.

Requirements 

• AAT Finalist or Intermediate Level Qualification in CA Sri Lanka.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, policies, and best practices.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in costing, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
