About the job Costing Analyst
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely cost calculations and provide quotations to the sales team.
- Develop and finalize divisional budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze and track the performance of the sales force, providing necessary periodic reports to management.
- Manage invoicing, conduct cost analysis, and maintain an updated price list for all products.
- Monitor and follow up on debtors to ensure proper cash flow and timely payments.
- Handle and oversee petty cash flow within the department.
- Manage local purchases and maintain stock reports for better inventory control.
- Conduct supplier and customer registration in the system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance profitability.
Requirements
- AAT Finalist or Intermediate Level Qualification in CA Sri Lanka.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, policies, and best practices.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in costing, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
