Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus
- Minimum 7+ years in engineering and maintenance roles within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, International food safety regulations (ISO Standards), and GMP are a must
- Familiarity with plant equipment maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies are essential
- Experience in implementing and practicing Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective working relationships
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engineering strategies to boost operational efficiency in both factories, leading projects from initial planning through to successful completion while ensuring strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks
- Manage the repair and maintenance budget, ensuring that expenses remain within the allocated limits
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives such as KAIZEN and 5S to maximize resource utilization
- Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular audits, and addressing any potential hazards promptly
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to complete projects efficiently and cost-effectively
- Track spending, manage contracts with external service providers, and continually seek opportunities to improve resource efficiency
