Responsibilities
- Lead hiring efforts by working with department heads to meet staffing needs and create job descriptions
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and implement programs to boost morale and reduce turnover
- Set up systems for regular feedback and professional development, and organize training sessions to improve skills
- Ensure HR practices follow local labor laws, and regularly update company policies to stay compliant
- Manage payroll, benefits, and salary reviews to remain competitive in the market
- Identify skill gaps and provide training to help employees grow and prepare for future roles
- Work with senior management to align HR efforts with company goals and track HR performance with data-driven insights
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional HR certifications (CIPM) are an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in both English and Sinhala
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to handle employee issues with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in HR software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Being a strong team player with leadership potential allows effective collaboration and guidance
- The ability to keep information confidential ensures privacy and trust are maintained
