Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees on a -weekly/monthly basis.
- Verify the accuracy of employee data, including attendance, hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal payroll regulations.
- Maintain payroll records in HRIS and employee files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and timely information.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure the smooth operation of payroll processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Finance or a Professional Qualification related to the field.
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a payroll assistant, payroll clerk, or in a similar role.
- Experience with HRIS systems and knowledge of multiple state payroll regulations.
- Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Understanding of payroll principles, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
