Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees on a -weekly/monthly basis.
  • Verify the accuracy of employee data, including attendance, hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal payroll regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records in HRIS and employee files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and timely information.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure the smooth operation of payroll processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Finance or a Professional Qualification related to the field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a payroll assistant, payroll clerk, or in a similar role.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and knowledge of multiple state payroll regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Understanding of payroll principles, labor laws, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
