About the job Head of Insurance Risk & Analytics
Responsibilties
- Lead the technical pricing, reserving, and risk analysis functions across insurance products.
 - 
Oversee financial forecasting and ensure compliance with regulatory valuation and solvency requirements.
 - 
Guide product development strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and internal profitability targets.
 - 
Support the implementation and compliance of IFRS 17 reporting standards.
 - 
Conduct experience studies (e.g., claims, persistency, expenses) and recommend strategic assumptions.
 - 
Provide input into reinsurance optimization, capital planning, and business risk models.
 - 
Communicate complex risk and financial insights to executive leadership and the board.
 - 
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.
 
Requirements
- 
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.
 - 
Masters degree is an added advantage.
 - 
Fellowship from a recognized actuarial body (e.g., IFoA, SOA, IAI) and eligibility to sign-off under IRCSL regulations.
 - 
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in pricing, reserving, and risk analysis.
 - 
Strong knowledge of RBC, IFRS 17, and local regulatory requirements.
 - 
Proficient in Prophet and data tools like Excel, R, or Python.
 - 
Proven leadership and communication skills.
