Finance Manager - Colombo 08

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing administrative and risk management aspects of financial operations within the company, developing financial strategies, policies, and ensuring robust control structures are in place.
• Directly accountable for financial reporting, planning, analysis, forecasting, and engaging in cost reduction initiatives. Review fund management activities, oversee budgeting, and conduct comprehensive financial performance analyses.
• Develop and implement internal financial policies to ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Manage payments and ensure timely submissions for taxes including Income Tax, WHT, Stamp Duty, VAT on FS, VAT, Crop Insurance Levy, and Dividend Tax.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial compliance reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
• Supervise finance department functions and responsibilities related to branch operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance & Membership in a recognized accounting body or any equivalent professional qualification
• Over 10 years of experience in Financing with minimum 05 years of experience in managerial capacity at a Bank or a Finance Company
• Solid understanding of business operations, risk based auditing , regulatory / compliance requirements & Strong Business acumen
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Proven people management and leadership skills
