About the job Tour Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide strategic direction for the tours and events department, crafting and implementing innovative tour programs and marketing strategies 
  • Manage all operational aspects, including designing itineraries, managing suppliers, coordinating logistics, and controlling budgets 
  • Deliver exceptional guest services throughout the entire travel journey, surpassing expectations and encouraging positive reviews and repeat business 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as hotels, transportation providers, activity operators, and local communities

Requirements:

  • Possess relevant qualifications in Travel and Tourism Management or a related field 
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the inbound travel and tourism industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a management position 
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of leading and motivating teams, exceeding sales targets, and delivering outstanding guest experiences 
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka, including its diverse destinations, attractions, culture, and history Show strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with team members, clients, and stakeholders 
  • Excel in organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines Be fluent in English, with additional languages being an advantage
