Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations to ensure smooth functioning
• Assist in the preparation of detailed monthly management accounts, providing comprehensive financial insights and analysis
• Conduct rigorous monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, actively pursuing any discrepancies or issues that arise
• Collaborate on budgeting processes and actively monitor performance against financial targets on a monthly basis
• Provide support for treasury operations, including cash flow management and financial risk assessment
• Contribute to the planning and execution of both internal audits for process improvement and annual external audits for regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified in CIMA/ CA Sri Lanka/ CMA/ACCA
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar capacity (Experience within the Shipping/ Liner industry, including exposure to port procedures
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical skills enabling interactions with all levels of management, subordinates, and principles
• Exhibit fluency in English, along with strong communication and leadership qualities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
