About the job Assistant Manager - Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards (SLFRS/IFRS)
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to guide financial decision-making
  • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance to optimize company resources.
  • Conduct cost analysis and expense control to improve financial efficiency
  • Manage banking operations, including fund transfers, forex transactions, and loan repayments.
  • Supervise accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Coordinate payroll processing and statutory payments (EPF, ETF, etc.)

Requirments:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CA Sri Lanka/ CIMA / ACCA/ CMA / CPA or equivalent qualification (part or fully qualified)
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferably in a managerial role)
  • Experience in SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is an advantage
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
