About the job Procurement Assistant

Responsibilities 

  • Identify and engage with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Obtain quotations, process purchase orders (POs), and ensure the timely procurement of required materials.
  • Optimize supply chain operations by ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with relevant teams for effective procurement planning.
  • Coordinate with finance and logistics teams to facilitate smooth transactions and efficient order fulfillment.

Requirements 

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar field, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A valid motorcycle license and access to a motorbike would be an advantage for field visits and supplier coordination.
