About the job Technical Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Overseeing and managing the laboratory/workshop team
  • Coordinating activities between internal and external resources to ensure a smooth workflow for technical service delivery
  • Planning, tracking, and monitoring tasks such as installation, preventative maintenance, technical service bulletins, and instrument service advisories assigned to service engineers and technical executives
  • Assisting with installations, demonstrations, and repairs of general and high-tech lab equipment as needed
  • Maintaining necessary tools, spare parts, and consumables for after-sales support
  • Responsible for resource forecasting and planning, and meeting revenue and cost targets for service (P&L)

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Bio-Medical or equivalent qualification
  • A basic knowledge of chemistry would be an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in handling GC/HPLC/Spectroscopy products or other (2 years of experience in managerial/supervisory role)
  • Have an ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical instrument systems
  • Experience in a similar capacity would be an added advantage
  • Willingness to work long hours & manage outstation visits
  • Having a valid driving license is essential
