About the job Assistant Import Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the import process from order placement to final delivery
- Track and Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery, resolving any delays or issues
- Liaise with international suppliers and vendors to manage orders, shipments and timelines
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to secure cost-effective transport solutions
- Prepare and submit required documents and reports, including invoices, bills of loading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations
- Analyze and manage import related costs, including duties, taxes, and shipping fees Address any import related issues, delays, complains or damage clams
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions and documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics or related field
- 3+ years of experience in imports, logistics or supply chain management
- Knowledge of international trade agreements and compliance standards
- Sound understanding about the medical equipment industry
