Head of Refrigeration Projects

Our client, a leading AC and Refrigeration Solutions company in Colombo, is seeking a skilled Head of Refrigeration Projects to lead and manage refrigeration and HVAC projects efficiently, both locally and overseas

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end refrigeration and HVAC projects, including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Directly handle cold rooms, chiller plants, and other refrigeration systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
• Lead overseas project execution, including on-site installations, troubleshooting, and client coordination.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure safe handling of refrigerants and equipment.
• Lead, train, and guide engineers and technicians, ensuring team performance meets project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
• Minimum 10 - 15 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration/HVAC systems, with at least 5 years in project management.
• Strong technical expertise in industrial refrigeration systems, including chiller plants, cold rooms, freezers, and direct expansion systems.
• Proven experience in managing projects locally and overseas, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with knowledge of refrigerants (HFCs, NH, CO) and safety standards.
