About the job Head of Programme Development Office
The Head of Programme Development Office provides strategic leadership for programme development, practice excellence, capability building, and programme innovation across the organisation. The role establishes programme frameworks, quality standards, and evaluation systems while ensuring effective implementation, workforce development, and programme sustainability across all care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in the development, innovation, and continuous enhancement of engagement programmes to ensure alignment with organisational priorities, emerging needs, and best practices.
- Lead the development and governance of evidence-informed programme frameworks, standards, toolkits, and implementation resources to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability across services.
- Lead workforce capability development through competency frameworks, coaching, training, and professional practice initiatives to promote programme excellence and continuous improvement.
- Lead programme evaluation, outcomes measurement, and knowledge management initiatives to drive evidence-informed practice, continuous improvement, and programme sustainability.
- Build strategic partnerships and represent the organisation in sector collaborations to advance programme innovation, knowledge exchange, and organisational impact.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Oversee programme implementation and quality assurance to ensure alignment with established frameworks, standards, and intended outcomes.
- Lead, supervise, and develop Programme Development Office staff to build capability and achieve departmental objectives.
- Partner with service leaders and multidisciplinary teams to support effective programme implementation, integration, and adoption across services.
- Oversee programme resources, budgets, funding requirements, and operational support to ensure efficient and sustainable programme delivery.
- Ensure effective programme monitoring, reporting, governance, compliance, and administrative management to support organisational accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Community Development, Arts Education, or related field (minimum baseline)
- Post-graduate qualifications in Gerontology, Social Work, Public Health, Arts Management, Healthcare Management, Education, or related field (preferred)
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in programme leadership, eldercare, community health, or arts-based engagement
- Proven track record in strategic planning and multi-site programme implementation
- Experience in impact evaluation and funding management
