Clinical Lead (Registered Nurse)

  • Job Type: Full-Time Salary: £21 – £23 per hour

About the Client We are recruiting for a large, purpose-built nursing home located a short distance from Birmingham city centre. The home has capacity for 116 residents and provides specialist care for individuals living with dementia, stroke-related conditions, Alzheimer's disease, physical disabilities, elderly care needs and end-of-life requirements. Care is delivered by NVQ-qualified nurses and carers who are committed to maintaining high standards of person-centred support.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Current UK NMC registration
  • Proven management experience within a nursing home environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and clinical risk management
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in medication management
  • Experience conducting Quality Assurance audits
  • Experience supervising and developing clinical and care staff

Key Responsibilities As Clinical Lead, you will support the Home Manager in:

  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for all residents
  • Maintaining and exceeding regulatory and contractual standards
  • Representing the home effectively when working with external service providers, including NHS and Social Work departments
  • Acting as an ambassador for the home and ensuring strong communication channels
  • Managing staff and budgets in line with policies and procedures
  • Completing administrative tasks as required
  • Liaising professionally with external professionals, families and individuals
  • Ensuring referral protocols and practices are followed consistently
