Job Title: Caregiver (NGT, PEG Tube, and Tracheostomy Care)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver to provide in-home care for a patient requiring advanced medical support, including management of Nasogastric Tube (NGT), Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Tube, and Tracheostomy care. The ideal candidate will have experience with these medical devices and a strong commitment to ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Device Management:

    • Administer feeding through NGT or PEG tube following medical protocols.
    • Perform regular maintenance and checks on PEG tube to ensure proper functionality.
    • Provide comprehensive tracheostomy care, including cleaning, suctioning, and device checks.
    • Administer prescribed medications via feeding tubes as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Personal Care & Daily Assistance:

    • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks to ensure patient comfort.
    • Help with patient mobility, including repositioning, transfers, and movement support.
  • Health Monitoring:

    • Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
    • Document care activities and changes in health status per medical guidelines.
  • Emotional Support & Companionship:

    • Provide emotional support, engage the patient in activities to enhance mental well-being, and reduce isolation.
    • Create a caring, respectful, and supportive environment that promotes dignity and emotional well-being.
  • Infection Control & Safety:

    • Follow strict hygiene and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
    • Adhere to safety protocols during medication administration, patient handling, and health monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in caregiving with expertise in NGT, PEG tubes, and tracheostomy care.
  • MOFA-attested CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate is mandatory.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or relevant healthcare qualifications are preferred.
  • Strong ability to follow detailed care plans and medical instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Physical strength and stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting patient mobility.
