Position Overview

GURURAMDASS Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to join our team in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with road transport laws, fatigue management requirements, and company operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Heavy Rigid (HR), Heavy Combination (HC), or Multi Combination (MC) vehicles for freight transport
  • Transport goods across metropolitan, regional, and interstate routes as required
  • Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
  • Load and unload cargo safely using correct load restraint procedures
  • Secure loads in accordance with National Load Restraint Guidelines
  • Plan routes effectively and meet scheduled delivery deadlines
  • Complete delivery documentation, manifests, work diaries, and logbooks accurately
  • Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, and fatigue management regulations
  • Report mechanical issues, delays, or incidents promptly to management
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional presentation standards
  • Follow company policies, WHS requirements, and safe driving practices at all times

Skills and Qualifications

  • Current and valid Australian HR, HC, or MC driver's licence
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy vehicles
  • Sound knowledge of Australian road transport laws and fatigue management
  • Understanding of CoR compliance requirements
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance reporting
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties

Skill Requirements

  • Certificate III in Driving Operations (TLI31216) or equivalent qualification (desirable), OR
  • At least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience where no formal qualification is held

Employment Conditions

  • Full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week)
  • Salary: AUD $76,515 – $85,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)
  • Overtime and applicable allowances may apply
  • Work may include early mornings, weekends, public holidays, and interstate travel
  • Compliance with company fatigue management and safety policies is mandatory
