Position Overview
The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials across various routes within Western Australia and interstate. The role requires strict adherence to road transport laws, safety protocols, and company standards, while ensuring timely and secure delivery of freight.

Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy rigid (HR), heavy combination (HC), or multi combination (MC) vehicles for the transportation of goods.
Conduct daily pre-departure and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance.
Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment and load restraint procedures.
Plan routes and adhere to scheduled delivery times while complying with fatigue management laws.
Complete accurate delivery documentation, manifests, and logbooks.
Comply with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVAS regulations.
Report any mechanical issues, delays, or incidents to management.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety standards, and company presentation.

Skills and Qualifications
Current and valid Australian HR, HC, or MC licence.
Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy vehicles in Australia or a comparable setting.
Sound knowledge of road transport laws, CoR compliance, and fatigue management principles.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
Physically capable of performing manual handling and loading duties safely.

Skills Assessment Requirements (ANZSCO 733111)
Applicants applying under ANZSCO Code 733111 Truck Driver (General) may require a Skills Assessment through Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) or another approved authority. To meet assessment standards, applicants should demonstrate the following:

  1. Qualification or Equivalent Experience a formal qualification equivalent to Certificate III in Driving Operations (TLI31216) or higher, OR at least three (3) years of full-time work experience in a comparable truck driving role if no formal qualification is held.
  2. Demonstrated Work Competence
  3. Supporting Evidence Required certified copies of drivers licence, qualifications, and relevant training certificates; employment references, payslips, tax records, or logbooks confirming work experience; and a statement of employment describing duties aligned with ANZSCO 733111 tasks.

Employment Conditions
Employment Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week (with potential overtime).
Salary Range: AUD $76,700 $96,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).
Travel allowances and overtime rates apply as per company policy.
Work may include early mornings, weekends, and interstate travel as required.
