SALARY: $76,515 to $96,500 PER ANNUM


The Technical Sales Representative
is responsible for representing Powerplant Motorcycles in the sale of motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, parts, and associated services to retail, commercial, and agricultural customers.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate technical products, negotiating sales contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This position requires a high level of technical product knowledge, commercial acumen, and independent sales capability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The employee will perform the following duties:

Compiling and maintaining lists of prospective client businesses using directories, referrals, and market research.

Acquiring and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company products, competitor offerings, and market conditions.

Visiting regular and prospective customers to identify and act on sales opportunities.

Assessing customers needs and recommending appropriate motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, accessories, and related services.

Explaining product specifications, technical features, financing options, warranties, and after-sales services.

Preparing quotations, negotiating prices and credit terms, completing contracts, and recording sales orders.

Coordinating delivery of goods, arranging installation where required, and liaising with workshop/service departments.

Monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues arising post-sale.

Monitoring competitor activity and reporting market developments to management.

Preparing sales reports and maintaining accurate records of business expenses and client interactions.

Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to overall dealership revenue growth.

Skills and Experience

Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in technical sales, automotive, motorcycle, agricultural machinery, or power equipment industries OR Relevant tertiary qualification (bachelors degree or higher) in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.

Strong technical understanding of mechanical or equipment-based products.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close sales.

Strong communication and relationship management skills.

Ability to work independently in a regional business environment.
