Powerplant Motorcycles is a multi-franchise dealership servicing Esperance and the South East of Western Australia. We provide sales, service, and parts for leading motorcycle and outdoor power equipment brands, including Honda, Stihl, Sherco, SYM, CF Moto, Hustler, and Cub Cadet.
Our business combines a busy retail showroom and workshop, offering both new and used motorcycles, power equipment, and accessories, supported by factory-authorised servicing and repairs.

Position Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of sales strategies and marketing initiatives to grow Powerplant Motorcycles market presence, increase sales revenue, and strengthen customer loyalty across multiple brands.
This role requires a hands-on managerial leader who understands the motorcycle and power equipment industry and can deliver strong sales and marketing performance within a regional dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Management:
Develop, manage, and achieve sales targets across motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, and accessories.
Oversee the retail showroom and ensure product presentation and customer service standards align with franchise requirements (Honda, BRP, Stihl, etc.).
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and franchise representatives.
Monitor competitor activity and adjust sales strategies to maintain market advantage.
Provide leadership, coaching, and training to sales staff to drive performance.

Marketing & Promotion:
Plan and execute local marketing campaigns in line with franchise agreements (e.g., Honda Standards marketing obligations).
Manage social media, website content, and online advertising to drive brand awareness and generate leads.
Coordinate showroom promotions, field days, and sponsorships to increase community engagement.
Liaise with manufacturers marketing teams to align local initiatives with national campaigns.
Ensure all advertising complies with franchise and corporate brand guidelines.

Reporting & Compliance:
Report on sales performance, customer insights, and marketing ROI to the Dealer Principal.
Maintain accurate records of marketing expenditure and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with workplace laws, franchise requirements, and corporate standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in sales and marketing management, ideally within the automotive, motorcycle, or power equipment industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Experience developing and executing marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels.
Understanding of franchise compliance and brand standards (Honda, BRP, or similar) highly desirable.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing tools.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.
Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Retail Management, or Marketing will be highly regarded.
A current C Class drivers licence is essential; motorcycle licence strongly preferred.
