Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Draftsperson with a background in civil, architectural, or industrial design to support our expanding portfolio of residential and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical design documentation, layout plans, and detailing for a range of property types, including townhouses, apartments, commercial suites, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed architectural, civil, and structural layout drawings for residential and commercial developments using AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and other drafting software.

Work with senior designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings align with design intent, planning
requirements, and construction feasibility.

Interpret concept sketches, site measurements, and mark-ups to develop accurate shop drawings and general arrangements.

Participate in site inspections and conduct field measurements to ensure design accuracy and compliance.

Incorporate design changes based on internal reviews, council feedback, and site conditions.

Ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, and local council requirements across all drawings.

Prepare and update bills of materials and support fabrication detailing for various structural and architectural components.

Collaborate with external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, to ensure alignment on design deliverables.

Contribute to construction sequencing, layout rationalisation, and constructability improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

5+ years' drafting experience in civil, structural, architectural, or industrial sectors (mining, materials handling, or
building).

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Advance Steel, Tekla Structures, and MS Office Suite.

Experience preparing general layout and detailed drawings for site infrastructure, structural frameworks, and building components.

Demonstrated ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams, fabricators, and clients.

Strong knowledge of construction methodology, site measurement practices, and documentation standards.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Desirable:

Knowledge of Australian construction codes and standards.

Familiarity with residential construction detailing and property layouts.

Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members or subcontractors.

Background in materials handling or structural steel projects applicable to Adrinas warehouse and commercial developments.
