With operations across Queensland, we deliver high-quality poultry products to local and national markets. We are currently seeking a motivated Poultry Farm Worker to join our Mt Cotton team.

About the Role
As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care and management of poultry to ensure their health, welfare, and productivity. You will work within a team environment maintaining high standards of animal husbandry, cleanliness, and farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision of flock, monitoring the health and condition of birds, identifying and reporting signs of illness or distress, responding to alarm.
  • Collecting, grading, and packing eggs.
  • Providing birds with feed and water and operating automated feeding and watering systems.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting poultry houses, pens, equipment, and surrounding areas to maintain biosecurity.
  • Assisting with hatching, vaccination, breeding programs and serological sampling ensuring vaccines and medication is administered correctly.
  • Maintaining accurate production and mortality records.
  • Ensuring compliance with animal welfare, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Performing general farm maintenance and operating farm machinery as required.
  • Work with Breeder Manager and support recruitment.
  • Follow Farm systems (QA, WHS, Cognology, MEX) ensuring sustainable practises and optimizing processes.
  • Train and guide team members on hands on tasks.
  • Reporting of risks and issues, offering practical guidance.
  • Record keeping.

About You

  • Previous experience working with poultry or livestock is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to perform physical and repetitive tasks.
  • Commitment to animal welfare and hygiene standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to follow strict biosecurity and safety protocols.

Full-time employment (38 hours per week)
