Financial Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial operations in a construction and manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall goals and objectives
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
• Oversee the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
• Manage the company's cash flow and financial transactions
• Conduct financial audits and make recommendations for process improvements
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with operational goals
• Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, stakeholders, and vendors
• Train and mentor junior financial staff to ensure their professional growth and development

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Honours in accounting
• CA(SA) (advantage)
• SAIPA, SAICA, or other relevant professional certification.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a construction and manufacturing environment.

SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
• Proven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning.
• Experience in risk management and financial instruments.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.
