Head of Engineering (AI/ML Focus)

We are looking for a visionary Head of Engineering with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to lead our technology organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can define and drive technical strategy, manage engineering operations, and build innovative AI/ML solutions that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Architecture

• Evaluate and enhance the companys technical infrastructure to support growth and innovation.

• Identify impactful opportunities to integrate AI/ML into products and processes.

• Define and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing system architecture, with robust AI/ML integration.

AI/ML Leadership

• Drive the selection and implementation of AI/ML technologies and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Establish development standards, best practices, and ethical guidelines for AI use.

• Oversee model development, training pipelines, monitoring systems, and continual learning workflows.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team including AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and software developers.

• Mentor technical leads and foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.

• Develop hiring strategies and training initiatives to scale technical capabilities.

Governance & Compliance

• Define AI governance frameworks to ensure ethical and responsible AI use.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws, security protocols, and industry regulations.

• Proactively identify and manage technical risks.

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Oversee cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems to support production-grade AI systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience as a Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or CTO, preferably within an AI-driven organization.

• Strong track record in building and scaling engineering teams and delivering high-impact AI/ML products.

• In-depth experience in B2B technology domains such as construction tech, supply chain, or industrial platforms.

• Expertise in AI/ML (deep learning, NLP, computer vision), and experience deploying models in production environments.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, data engineering, and software engineering principles.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
