Team Lead – Inspection & Repair (Automotive Logistics)

About the Role
A fast-growing automotive export logistics company is looking for a Team Lead to oversee vehicle inspection and repair operations, from auction win through to shipping yard clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Lead, monitor, and support the operations team handling day-to-day inspection bookings and repair workflows.
• Inspection Compliance: Ensure the team accurately schedules and passes all country-specific pre-export inspections (e.g., JEVIC, QISJ, JAAI, or relevant destination country standards).
• Repair & Quality Control: Oversee coordination of vehicle repairs; review and approve workshop quotes to ensure fair pricing and quality workmanship.
• Timeline Management: Monitor the process from auction win to shipping yard clearance, eliminating bottlenecks.
• Vendor & Workshop Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with trusted mechanics, repair centers, and official inspection bodies.
• Problem Solving: Act as the escalation point when a vehicle fails inspection or requires unexpected, high-cost repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in automotive logistics, car export operations, or service center management. Experience with Japanese auction vehicles is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing, motivating, and organizing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with automotive pre-shipping inspection standards and export/import compliance.
• Ability to evaluate repair estimates and understand basic automotive mechanics to prevent overpaying.
