Strategy and Operations Lead
Job Description:
As the Strategy and Operations Lead, you will supercharge the team by working at the center of the business to drive projects across business development, product strategy, and internal operations. The role is for a high-functioning generalist who is comfortable with ambiguity, thrives on learning, and has a strong bias for action, a strategic generalist who wants to help build a foundational fintech company from the ground up. You won't just be executing a pre-written plan; you'll be a strategic partner, helping to build the playbook as we go. While you will begin as a generalist working at the core of the business, this position is designed to evolve as the company scales and as your strengths become clear. For the dedicated generalist, we envision this role evolving into a Chief of Staff.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment such as management consulting, investment banking, or a business operations/strategy role at a high-growth startup.
- Mindset: Highly adaptable and proactive, with the ability to switch between diverse tasks and push projects forward with minimal direction. You are comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the challenge of an early-stage company.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information, conduct research, and present clear, actionable insights.
- Organizational Prowess: Exceptional organizational and project management skills; you are someone who can turn ambiguous requests into structured, actionable plans.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely to senior leaders and external partners.
- Domain Interest: A demonstrated interest in and foundational knowledge of financial technology, banking, and/or blockchain technology. A high learning agility and intellectual curiosity are paramount.
- Remote-First Mentality: Strong personal communication skills and an understanding of how to collaborate effectively and help build culture in a remote-first environment.
- Prior direct experience in banking or Fintech, a must.
