SUMMARY

Manages various specialized electrical, mechanical, and manual tasks associated with electronic product manufacturing. Coordinates and manages human and material resources to achieve delivery of quality products on schedule and within/below budget. Ensures assigned team members receive the training they need to perform their functions efficiently and cost effectively.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, directs and coordinates Production to achieve goals for resource utilization, quality, delivery and cost of products.
  • Identifies and fulfill all personnel staffing requirements to meet objectives for production volume ,introduction of new products and implementation of improvement programs.
  • Develops and implements an annual operating plan for manufacturing, which is consistent with and supports the business plan.
  • Develops and implements improvement programs consistent with the corporate and site objectives to improve quality, delivery, cycle time, cost and asset management.
  • Develops, implements and maintains active programs in the areas of training and personnel development to improve job skills and performance, provide career opportunities both inside and outside manufacturing and build a cohesive and effective team.
  • Works with Program Management and Planning to develop production schedules consistent with customer requirements and manufacturing capability.
  • Identifies equipment and facility requirements to support the short and long term business plans.
  • Actively participates in new product development programs to assure rapid transition into manufacturing.
  • Evaluates worker performance; recommends salary changes, promotions, discipline, leaves of absence and terminations.
  • Ensure team members comply with company policies and procedures.

  • Available for travel up to 25% to 40% as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 year degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years electronic manufacturing experience; contract manufacturing preferred
  • 2 years leadership role experience
