About the job Estate Manager
AIM OF THE JOB:
- Plan, manage, execute, and monitor estate operations efficiently to ensure profitability as per company goals and strategies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- Direct estate planning activities, providing leadership and guidance to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Plan and monitor existing and future development of the estate.
- Implement and oversee strategies for the continuous improvement of estate activities, including harvesting, production, rehabilitation, and pest control.
- Ensure that operational budgets are approved by management and adhered to strictly.
- Manage and monitor estate expenses, aiming for cost optimization.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance of estate staff, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and motivation.
- Prepare and manage day-to-day estate operations, including budget plans, logistics, manpower, and material requirements.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.
- Plan and execute replanting activities as per established standards.
- Supervise and guide subordinates and other employees in communication, discipline, work culture, and all aspects.
- Ensure the timely completion of immature plant upkeep and replanting activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Education and Training:
- Bachelors Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Forestry, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing estate operations with a proven track record in leadership and administration.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Management:
- Strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of labor law.
- Industry:
- Proficiency in plantation/agriculture operations, including nursery management, planting, maintenance, harvesting, and upkeep.
- Language:
- Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Finance:
- Budget management experience.
- Technology:
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Organization:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
