Position: Litigation Paralegal / Legal Secretary – Plaintiff Personal Injury
Location: Clark, Bloomfield and Paramus, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000
Our client is a well-established and highly respected New Jersey plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Secretary to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is passionate about supporting attorneys through all phases of complex personal injury cases.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience and possess exceptional organizational, communication, and case management skills.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation, from case inception through trial.
- Prepare, draft, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Manage case files, maintain litigation calendars, and monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, arbitrations, court appearances, and expert witness scheduling.
- Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records, medical bills, and other case-related documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance carriers, and court personnel.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, trial notebooks, witness coordination, and document management.
- Maintain accurate case information and provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey litigation procedures and court deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Professional, client-focused demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software preferred.
