Position Overview
A leading manufacturer of advanced packaging machinery for the medical device industry is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive business development and revenue growth across North America.
This role is responsible for new customer acquisition, key account management, and capital equipment sales to medical device manufacturers and medical packaging organizations. The Sales Manager will work closely with engineering and technical teams to develop custom machinery solutions and support customers through the full sales cycle.
This position requires a strong background in capital equipment sales, packaging machinery, or industrial automation, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the medical device and medical packaging markets
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and key accounts, including multinational organizations
- Manage the full capital equipment sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and close
- Maintain accurate customer data, sales activity, and pipeline reporting in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop customized equipment solutions for customer applications
- Support domestic and international sales initiatives and manage global customer relationships as needed
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and product demonstrations
- Participate in regular sales meetings and forecasting reviews with leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience, ideally within packaging machinery or industrial automation
- Experience selling into the medical device or medical packaging industry strongly preferred
- Understanding of packaging machinery, packaging materials, and medical packaging standards
- Experience managing international or multinational accounts is a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-term client relationships
