Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced and licensed Senior Attorney to support litigation matters across the West Coast. This role will focus on residential real estate litigation, mortgage-related cases, transactional matters, and general collections, with an emphasis on protecting client interests in legal proceedings. Candidates must be licensed in one of the following states: Texas, Arizona, Nevada, or California.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a full litigation caseload and track billable hours.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal legal teams and staff.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery responses, affidavits, motions, and opinion letters.
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to ongoing litigation.
  • Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and present evidence.
  • Travel as needed for hearings, depositions, or other in-person requirements.
  • Participate in internal initiatives and special legal projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 8 years of courtroom/litigation experience (foreclosure experience is highly desirable).
  • Active bar membership in TX, AZ, NV, or CA and in good standing.
  • Dual bar admission is a plus (especially Texas).
  • Strong working knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence in both state and federal courts.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, Fastcase).
  • Experience in managing multiple cases and meeting deadlines independently.
  • Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide outstanding client service and professional communication.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven remote environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to assist team members as needed.
