About the Role

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Transactional Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced transactional practice. This is a high-impact role combining advanced legal support with administrative leadership, offering the opportunity to contribute to workflow coordination and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support including calendaring, email management, and document preparation
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
  • Manage attorney schedules, deadlines, and appointments
  • File legal documents with courts and other entities as required
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications
  • Greet clients and maintain a professional, client-focused environment
  • Review and edit monthly client billing and invoices
  • Maintain and update internal procedures and workflows
  • Support attorneys with complex transactional projects
  • Act as a resource and mentor to junior legal assistants
  • Provide backup support across the team as needed

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a law firm environment
  • Experience supporting senior attorneys or partners preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with legal billing and document management systems (e.g., PracticeMaster, NetDocuments, or similar)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Discretion in handling confidential information

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000 – $80,000 annual salary (non-exempt, hourly)
