About the job Remote PT, Ed Tech Conversion Sales
Part-Time EdTech Business Development & School Partnerships Manager – Remote
Remote | Part-Time | Approximately 20–25 Hours per Week
We are an early-stage education technology company focused on helping K–12 schools, school districts, colleges, and universities expand access to practical life skills education.
We are looking for an experienced education sales, business development, or school partnerships professional who can help us introduce our programs to educational decision-makers, develop new institutional relationships, conduct presentations, and help turn those relationships into long-term partnerships.
This is not simply a lead-generation or appointment-setting position. We are looking for someone capable of owning relationships with prospective educational clients and helping us grow our presence within the K–12 and higher education markets.
What You'll Do
Develop New School & College Partnerships
- Proactively identify and contact K–12 school districts, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations.
- Build relationships with administrators and other educational decision-makers.
- Introduce our life skills education programs and identify where they may fit within an institution's existing student programs.
- Develop your own pipeline of prospective institutional partners.
- Conduct consistent phone and email outreach and follow-up.
Conduct Consultative Presentations
- Meet virtually with school and college decision-makers to understand their needs.
- Present our programs and demonstrate how they can support their students.
- Answer questions, address objections, and help prospective partners evaluate whether our programs are appropriate for their organization.
- Maintain relationships throughout the decision-making process.
Work Qualified Inbound Opportunities
You will also receive opportunities developed by other members of our team.
Rather than spending a significant portion of your time qualifying individual inbound inquiries, we want you focused on higher-value conversations.
When a qualified school or educational organization is interested in learning more, you may take over the relationship, conduct the presentation, and help move the opportunity toward a partnership.
Help Us Build the Sales Strategy
Because we are an early-stage company, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute ideas—not simply follow an established script.
You may help us:
- Identify promising school and college markets.
- Determine the right decision-makers to approach.
- Refine messaging and outreach strategies.
- Improve presentations and follow-up processes.
- Develop repeatable strategies for expanding into new districts, colleges, and geographic markets.
What We're Looking For
Our strongest candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- EdTech sales or business development.
- K–12 school or district partnerships.
- Higher education business development.
- Educational program sales.
- School staffing/account management.
- Enrollment or admissions sales.
- Educational consulting.
- SaaS sales into educational institutions.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously built relationships with people such as:
- Superintendents and district administrators.
- Principals and school administrators.
- Curriculum and instruction leaders.
- Student services leadership.
- College and university administrators.
- Career services or student success leaders.
- Other institutional education decision-makers.
The Person We're Looking For
You should be comfortable:
- Picking up the phone and initiating conversations with people you don't already know.
- Turning an initial conversation into a scheduled presentation.
- Conducting professional virtual presentations yourself.
- Asking good questions and selling consultatively rather than relying on a scripted pitch.
- Following up consistently over a potentially longer education sales cycle.
- Working independently in a remote environment.
- Helping build processes within an early-stage company.
- Being measured on relationships, pipeline development, presentations, and ultimately revenue—not simply the number of calls made.
Existing relationships within K–12 or higher education are a significant plus.
Schedule
This is a long-term, part-time remote position of approximately 20–25 hours per week.
Because you will be communicating directly with schools, districts, and colleges, the majority of working hours must occur during normal educational business hours in the U.S.
There is flexibility in how those hours are structured.
Compensation
This position will include an hourly base plus commission/revenue-sharing opportunities.
We want someone who is interested not only in earning an hourly rate, but also in participating financially in the business they help develop.
The commission structure will reward successful development and conversion of new school and college partnerships, including opportunities you originate yourself as well as qualified opportunities generated by other members of our team.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
We're not looking for someone to simply work through a call list.
We're looking for someone who wants to become an important part of building an education company.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to establish relationships, develop markets, influence our go-to-market strategy, and share financially in the growth you help create.
